Here we go again. <em>Monstre Cosmic<\/em> is out, and after a few spins, I&#8217;ve decided I&#8217;m officially enamored with Latitia Sadier&#8217;s Stereolab-lite side project. With this album, Monade expands and stretches the warmth and melody of the previous two efforts and gives us ten more tracks suitable for sun-drenched lounging on a Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;\u00c3\u2030toile&#8221; is my favorite cut so far.  It&#8217;s a pretty, swaying piece, sung in French, that perfectly captures the Monade vibe: gentle, accompanying keyboards, a bouncy, picked bassline, a restlessness in tempo and Sadier&#8217;s voice floating above it all (aided by bassist\/vocalist Marie Merlet&#8217;s ever-so-slightly more delicate voice.)
